Description of Work:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed contract to perform Removal, Overhaul, Reinstallation and Testing of pumps located at the Bernville Protective Works in Bernville Pennsylvania. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

Contract work is to remove, overhaul, and reinstall five mixed flow storm water pumps and their associated automatic greasers at the Bernville Protective Works (BPW) in Bernville, Pennsylvania. The pumps and greasers that are to be removed, overhauled, and reinstalled are #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5. The pumps and automatic greasers are to be removed, repaired and reinstalled one at a time in sequential order, with the second pump and greaser removed after successful installation and testing of the first pump and greaser, and so forth.

It is also the intent of this scope of work to replace the lower motor bearing on all six pump motors, including furnishing and installing new lower bearings on the motors for Pumps # 1-5 and furnishing and installing new lower bearing on the motor for Pump # 6.

The NAICS Code for this project is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The small business size is $12.5 Million.

Estimated cost range of the project is $500K - $1Million dollars.

The Combined Synopsis No. W912BU23R0014 will be issued on or about 10 April 2023. Proposals must be received by 10 May 2023 at 3:00p.m. The contract period of performance is 210 Calendar days after receipt of award.
