Description

STATEMENT OF WORK The Salisbury NC VAMC campus has various physical security deficiencies that need to be corrected within the building envelope involving various doors, windows, walls, access controls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Work will be performed in accordance with all current Salisbury VAMC policies, procedures and best practices involving design and construction operations and will be structured to provide minimum interruption of space function during construction. The end goal is elimination of repeated inspection failures. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work to complete the correction of Physical Securities Deficiencies for the VA Medical Center, Salisbury, North Carolina. This work is detailed in the project drawings and specifications. Project goals include correcting the security issues based on the Physical Security and Resiliency Design Manual (PSRDM), VA Handbook 0730/4, Security and Law Enforcement, VA Directives, Design Manuals, Master Specifications, VA National CAD Standard Application Guide, and other Guidance on the Technical Information Library (TIL). The Specifications and drawings package provide the full scope of the project, prepared by, The Offices of Above Group, as Architect-Engineers, will render certain technical services during construction. Such services shall be considered as advisory to the Government and shall not be construed as expressing or implying a contractual act of the Government without affirmations by Contracting Officer or his duly authorized representative.
