Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), through its Transatlantic Division (TAD), Transatlantic Middle East District (TAM), anticipates soliciting and awarding a contract to provide the necessary construction services as described below. The project site is located at undisclosed location approximately 100km East of Amman, Jordan.

This will be a firm-fixed price (FFP) Design-Bid-Build (DBB) contract awarded on the basis of full and open competition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation and FAR Part 36 - Construction and Architect Engineer Contracts. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this forthcoming Solicitation or any follow up information requests. 

TAM is evaluating the ability of businesses to perform a comprehensive pavement repair by removal of 14,807SM of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement, to include transitions, and replace with modified-heavy load concrete pavement on the Touchdown 26 end of Runway 08/26. Pavement will support medium load aircraft landing operations. Repair shall include concrete extension of the touchdown zone to meet current mission-assigned platform requirements by replacing 8,412SM of asphaltic concrete pavement of runway with PCC. Additionally, repair by replacement of threshold lighting infrastructure and those taxiway’s exit lighting infrastructure that are within the concrete touchdown. Work will include all necessary airfield markings on the touchdown zone. This project will comply with applicable DoD, Air Force, and base design standards.

Magnitude of Construction: The total contract dollar value for the base and options will be estimated between $5 million and $10 million.

Performance Period: The anticipated period of performance is 310 calendar days.
