PURCHASE TAPE ASSEMBLY
The proposed procurement is for NSN 1710-00-045-7162, Purchase Tape Assembly made in accordance to 80020 NAVY drawings. NAVAIR Part Number 510534-8-920SP is a Critical Safety Item for the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE). Solicitation is unrestricted and only approved sources as designated by NAVAIR will be eligible for award. Manufacturers not designated may submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) Package for NAVAIR’s review. Contract type will be firm-fixed priced for a quantity of 40 Assemblies. Quantity ranges are included to adjust demands if necessary. Item is for stock location New Cumberland, PA (W25G1U). Requested delivery is approximately 500 days after date of award which includes Contractor First Article testing and Production Lot Testing. Solicitation will require FOB Destination with Inspection and Acceptance at Origin (Contractor Assist Inspection). While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.

Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the Unites States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer.
Interested parties may obtain copies of Military and Federal Specifications and Standards, Qualified Product Lists, Military Handbooks, and other standardization documents from the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP), in Philadelphia, PA. Most documents are available in Adobe PDF format from the ASSIST database via the Internet at http://assist.daps.mil.

This notice is to announce that the NSN will be solicited in the near future on August 15, 2022. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm. Due to system constraints, it may take as long as three (3) business days from the stated issue date for the solicitation to post to DIBBs.
