Description
This is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-aside Invitation for Bid (IFB). The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237130 with a size standard of $45 Mil. This acquisition will be handled as an IFB prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Place of performance will be near Picacho, Arizona in Pinal County.
Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Desert Southwest Region (DSW) has a requirement at its ED5 Substation for a qualified contractor to demolish existing components that are blocking new additions, install a variety of government-furnished equipment (GFE), furnish and install various electrical equipment and perform sitework and finish grading. The contractor shall also remove and dispose of existing substation material in accordance with the Construction Contract (Standard Form 1442); the Contract Clauses; WAPA’s Construction Standards; Standard Drawings; and the Project Specifications and Drawings. All work shall be in strict compliance with the ED5 Substation (Stage 03) specifications and drawings.
The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet free of charge. No CD-ROMS or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Interested parties can download the solicitation at http://www.sam.gov on or about December 5, 2023.
