Eggs 3rd QTR

The Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury CT. intends to issue a solicitation for the Quarterly Requirements of Fresh Whole Eggs.  This solicitation is restricted to 100% Small Business, FOB Destination.  Delivery will begin April 1, 2023 through June 30, 2023 on every Monday’s for a period of 3 months.  Deliveries will be made to FCI Danbury, 33 ½ Pembroke Road, Danbury CT. 06811.  The proposed contract type is a Fixed Price Contract with an Economic Price Adjustment based on established prices posted in “Urner Barry’s Northeast Regional Spot Market”.  Weekly base price shall be taken from previous Thursday’s “Price Current Publication” (above + or below - base).  Awards will be based equally on price and past performance.  The Government will award to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, which is considered to be most advantageous to the Government.  All responsible sources may submit a quote.

Quoters are always expected to:

1. Deliver the product on the time as agreed.
2. Deliver the precise quantity requested.
3. Submit the invoice at the exact prices quoted, and only after full delivery.

16.203    Fixed-price contracts with economic price adjustment.

16.203-1  Description.

(a) A fixed-price contract with economic price adjustment provides for upward and downward revision of the stated contract price upon the occurrence of specified contingencies. Economic price adjustments are of three general types:

(1) Adjustments based on established prices. These price adjustments are based on increases or decreases from an agreed-upon level in published or otherwise established prices of specific items or the contract end items.
