Description

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to fell all woody vegetation 3” diameter or greater at breast height within predefined clearing areas.   It shall be done in a manner that will maximize retention of standing stumps to facilitate trunk and root removal at a later date. Felled vegetation to remain in place except as noted below. Site access is restricted to river access only. 

Contractor questions: It states that vegetation may stay in place except where noted. Are there any locations where the vegetation must be removed? All information is in the solicitation. 

Has funding been made available for this project. - based on the projections for this project funding is available.

Can trees be felled into the river channel? if so can they be left or do they need to be moved? It is our understanding that trees can be felled into the river and left.
