Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division (A252300) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to procure the services necessary to provide studies and analyses for advanced technology and software solutions to add Multiband Communications and Crypto Systems (MCC), Next Generation Load Device (NGLD) and Satellite Communications (SATCOM) through the Mobile User Objective System (MOUS) to the software defined AN/ARC-210(V) airborne radio system.

Background
The AN/ARC-210(V) Airborne Radio is a family of radios for military aircraft that provides two-way, multi-mode voice and data communications. It covers both Ultra High Frequency (UHF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) bands with AM, FM and SATCOM capabilities. The AN/ARC-210(V) Airborne Radio also includes embedded anti-jam waveforms and other data link and secure communications features, providing total battlefield interoperability and high-performance capabilities in the transfer of data, voice and imagery. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a need to upgrade these radios with the latest in secure encryption and SATCOM technologies.

The anticipated level of effort is 7,680 total for four years.
Contract Type Considerations
The Government anticipates issuing a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF).
