Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USC)  IPF ALAMEDA  USCG COAST GUARD ISLAND BLDG 15A ALAMEDA,CA 94501-5100 is issuing this notice of intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government’s intent to Award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract  under IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and 13 procedures.

The intended Contractor is JO KELL , located at 628 Innovation Dr. Chesapeake, VA 23320

USCG IPF ALAMEDA requires:

Dimensions: 100 FT of ¾ inch MIL-PRF-24758 EMI/EMP shielding conduit, 100 FT of ½ inch MIL-PRF-24758 EMI/EMP shielding conduit.

Conduit Core: May be supplied with low profile, short, brass splices. Located randomly.

Fitting requirements: TTH Plated Aluminum, TTH Plated Brass and 316 Stainless Steel (ENTRANCO’s TTH conductive plating containing no cadmium), bulk composite conduit, Sea Frost w/ EPDM Jacket

 FINISH: Passive Per Entraco procedure 1027 with mat Finish.

 Jacketing: To be marked continuously along the length of the conduit. At least once every 18”, using a contrasting color of permanent ink.

 Base system: Allows the protection and shielding from electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic pulse.

Protection: Protection against corrosion to salt fog, acids from stack gases and abrasions.

Life Span: The TTH plate has a life span of over 2000 hrs of salt spray exposure.

Performance requirements: performance of adapters are only guarantied when used with ENTRANCO CC249 or CC261 EMP conduit.

Required adapter material: use stainless steel adapters with stainless steel connectors, and aluminum adapters with aluminum connectors.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All interested parties who are responsible, certified, and capable may identify their interest and may submit an offer or quotation which shall be considered by the agency no later than 07:00 AM Eastern Time on August 25, 2022 to Michael Owens at Michael.M.Owens@uscg.mil.  The interested parties bear full responsibility to ensure complete transmission and timely receipt.
