Description

P-5001 DBB, JOINT AIR DEFENSE OPERATIONS PHASE II, JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, WASHINGTON, DCThis acquisition will result in the completion of the Joint Air Defense Operations Center permanent facility by providing the second phase of the Military Construction: Construct a two-story Joint Air Defense Operations Center. Construction includes concrete slab-on-grade foundation with Concrete spread footings under steel columns, structural steel frame, concrete masonry unit shear walls, and roofing system with sloping roof deck. Includes pavements, all utilities, site improvements, passive force protection measures, security fencing, and diverse communication routing to eliminate single points of failure and ensure constant connectivity. Special Construction Requirements include Controlled Space in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive/Intelligence Community Standard 705 and use of special exterior finishes to meet Joint Base Anacostia Bollings architectural design requirements. The facility shall be compatible with applicable Department of Defense, Air Force, and Joint Base design standards. In addition, local materials and construction techniques shall be used where cost effective. Facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordancewith the Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria 1-200-01.
