Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC) is conducting this Sources Sought to identify contractors who possess the capabilities to provide The Contractor is requested to provide Hematology/Oncology Services and Consultation Service. .

The Indian Health Service (IHS), Phoenix Area Office (PAO), has a requirement to continue Hematology/Oncology Services and Consultation Service Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC) in Phoenix, Arizona.

Hematology/Oncology Services:

SHIFT: This service is required by clinic once a week with an estimated fifty-two (52) clinics per contract year. A “Clinic” is defined as one (1) day for eight (8) hours. Estimated (416) hours per year; estimated 15 patients per Clinic. The Clinic will be within the PIMC hours of operations 5 days a week between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (0800 - 1700). Additional Clinics may be added by mutual agreement of both parties with prior agreement and coordination with the Government.

Hematology/Oncology Consultation Service:

SHIFT: On Call Telephonic Consultation Services, the contactor shall provide on-call telephone consultations from PIMC staff on location at PIMC. Emergent inpatient consultation services are to be provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year at the contractor’s location.

PIMC provides direct health care services to 156,815 patients. The Tribes that comprise the Phoenix Service Unit are, The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and the San Lucy District of the Tohono O'odham Nation, the Tonto Apache Tribe, the Yavapai-Apache Indian Tribe, and the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe. Tribal members who receive care at PIMC are often residents of the greater Phoenix area and hail from Tribes throughout the U.S. PIMC also provides specialty care to rural and remote reservation health care facilities in Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.

Responses shall reference this Sources Sought announcement in subject email, “RFQ Sources Sought-Hematology/Oncology Services and Consulting Service, PIMC” in your response, include whether your firm is a Small Business and can perform or compete in a RFP for the Hematology/Oncology Services and Consulting Service for Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC), located in Phoenix, Arizona.

This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). Indian Health Service is utilizing this tool as part of market research. Your responses will assist IHS in the development of its possible RFP and in determining whether any type of small business set-aside is possible for this procurement or whether full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. 

The subcontracting limitations are outlined in FAR 52.219-3, 52.219-14, 52.219-27, 52.219-29, and/or 52.219-30, as appropriate.
