Description

The contractor shall provide all non-personal services, management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary in order to perform Disposal of International Catering Waste service for the 721 Aerial Port Squadron at Ramstein Air Base.

The intent of this contract is the disposal of waste originating from international air traffic outside the EU which is classified by European Regulation as Category 1 material.

The contractor shall provide two (2) 10 cubic meter container with following characteristics:
-leak-proof
-lockable
-antibacterial surface
-visibly labeled “Nur zur Beseitigung” and “Disposal only” in white lettering on blackbackground

Contractor will pick up the full container once a week and leave a clean, empty container at the pick-up location. The weekly pick-up day will be specified at performance start and stay the same throughout the life of the contract unless an exception applies (see 2.1 and 2.2). Cleaning of the container shall be accomplished by contractor off base. The waste shall be weighed down to the kilogram by the contractor at time of pick-up and verified by the contractor and an appointed 721 APS employee in written form. In case of unforeseen inoperable contractor weighing device, weighing at the incineration plant by an official of the plant will be accepted when recorded in written form, signed by a plant’s official and forwarded to the 721 APS employee within 7 days after pickup (weighing needs to be down to the kilogram).

Contractor must also provide written proof to the 721 APS that the collected material has been disposed of by incineration in accordance with the following regulations within 14 days after pick-up:
