Fats and Bones/ Oil Removal Services 2022

The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is seeking interested vendors to provide services necessary to perform the removal/pickup/disposal of supermarket animal and fish by-products, fats and bones, chicken, pork, beef, lunch meat, fish and sausages from the Defense Commissary Agency commissary location(s) identified in the solicitation. The contractor will also be required to remove/pickup/dispose of used rotisserie chicken oil at certain locations. Interested vendors must agree to the Statement of Work, Attachment A (NOTE: this is a draft form and may change prior to solicitation publication).

Interested vendors may express interest on any individual locations, group of specific locations, or all locations as desired.   If both requirements (fats and bones removal service and used chicken oil and grease removal service) are required at a single location, the interested vendor may express interest in one or both requirements for that location.  Please complete Attachment B – Location List (see below) indicating interested locations and return via email to Jasmine Wooten (jasmine.wooten@deca.mil) and Kristine N. The anticipated Period of Performance (PoP) will be for a base period of September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023 and will include four one-year option periods that may extend performance through August 31, 2027. 

Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) under the specified North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 311613. SAM information and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) must be completed at https://www.acquisition.gov/ under the Acquisition Systems tab (scroll to the bottom of the page)

Once made available, the solicitation and any amendments, if applicable, will be available at www.sam.gov under HQC005, DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY, HQC005-22-R-0003. Potential vendors must use this website to obtain a copy of this solicitation once it is available.

The Request for Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only.  Do not submit pricing information in response to this RFI.  The Government does not intend to award based on responses from this RFI.

Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.  DeCA will not pay for information received in response to this RFI.

There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make award(s), or be responsible for any monies expended by industry responses to this RFI.
