Sources Sought: PORTLAND VAMC - LINT SCRUBBER

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE and potential INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE ONLY. READ CAREFULLY.

This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations.  The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to provide a potential requirement.  The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following:

TITLE: Lint Scrubber

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:

Lint Scrubber

Lint scrubber must be able to remove dust and lint particulates through a filter media at 8000 CFM. Units are suspended above textile processing machine and must have automatic feed for the filter media. Units must discharge from the top of the machine to prevent lint from collecting on surfaces above lint scrubber.

• Buy America Act

It is anticipated that the Buy American Act will apply to the procurement. In your response, please verify that your company can supply a Zero Turn Riding Lawn Mower that meets the requirements for the Buy America Act clause 52.225-1.

• Nonmanufacturer Rule applies clause 19.505(c)(1).

RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:  company name, address, UEI # (sam.gov) and business size; point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address; Capability Statement that addresses concern #2 above.

NAICS Code 333413 is applicable to determine business size standard.
