Description

Replace Sanitary Sewer Line

Ft. Lauderdale, FL

GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK:

The contractor shall install approximately 300 feet of buried 6 inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe connecting building 3 to the Town of Davie sanitary riser at Invasive Plant Research Laboratory campus at 3225 College Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Contractor will also inspect and unclog sanitary connections between buildings B001 and B003 and under B003 to assure proper functioning of this entire interconnected system.

The contractor shall engage a locator service to locate underground utilities prior to excavating or trenching. The exact location of existing water and electrical lines running along the south side of B003 towards the Town of Davie sanitary sewer is unknown. The Contractor shall use due diligence to ensure the existing lines are not damaged. Hand digging may be warranted in some instances. Damage to utilities caused by the contractor shall be repaired at no additional expense to the Government.

Grassed areas disturbed by the construction shall be sodded with Argentine Bahia. Roadway shall be patched with matching asphalt material. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the general requirements above and materials and installation shall comply with the most recent ARS 242-01M manual.
