Description
USACE Nashville District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) construction solicitation for this requirement. This is a Pre-solicitation Notice. This Notice is being issued for planning and informational purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this Notice. The plans and specifications for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB), for the Wall Armor Painting at Nickajack Lock. The contractor is required to clean, prep, and paint various metal components along the lock walls at lock. The horizontal corner protection armor along both sides of the lock are to be painted. The scope has been broken up into 3 sections; Upstream Approach Walls, Lock Chamber Walls & Downstream Approach Wall. The base captures the Upstream Approach and Downstream Approach walls which are painted yellow. The Lock Chamber Walls are captured as an option and will be painted aluminum. Each wall per section must be painted in full prior to painted the opposing wall or moving to the next section. The contractor will coordinate with Navigation Lock Master for coordination efforts.

The specifications will be provided with the solicitation announcement. The solicitation is expected to be released on or around July 2023. The intended period of performance is 306 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
