Description

Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Data ProductionsOperations seeks to procure services to remove and install a new
racking system:
- One time requirement that must be completed in 30 days after award.
- Remove 54 cross beams and stacking for later use.
- Remove 10 uprights in the warehouse and stack on provided pallet outside.
- Install 10 new uprights following all manufacturer guidelines within the same footprint of the old uprights.
- Install 72 cross beams mirroring the new setup that has already been established in row l of the warehouse.
- Install wire decking (shelving) on bottom 2 rows (36 total).

The closing date of SP7000-24-Q-0014 is extended to 24 June 2024 at 14:00.

  1. What is the height of the uprights? 25 ft (H) x 4 ft (D)
  2. What is the length of the beams? 9 ft
  3. Is a scissor lift needed? Yes, scissor lift would be recommended.
  4. Is a forklift needed? Yes
  5. Will ladders be sufficient for installation? Scissor lift would be recommended due to the height of the racks.
  6. Do ladders, forklifts, and scissor lift need to be provided or are they on site to be used? They will need to be provided.
  7. What size are the old uprights? 25 ft (H) x 3 ½ ft (D)
  8. What size are the old beams? 9 ft
  9. What size are the new uprights? 25 ft (H) x 4 ft (D)
  10. How many shelf levels is each bay? 4
  11. How much weight does each shelf level need to hold? 1200 LBS

  13. Can you provide picture or layout of new system? The new layout will mirror the previous layout.
  14. Does the offeror need to include procurement of new racking materials, or will it be provided? The new racking material has been purchased and is on-site (minus bolts for uprights to floor).

  17. Are site visits available? Yes, we can schedule a site visit M-F from 0700 to 1400 CST.
  18. What size cross beams and uprights are required to be demolished? Uprights are 25 ft (H) x 3 ½ ft (D) and cross beams are 9 ft wide.
  19. What size uprights, cross beams, and wire decking are being installed? Uprights to be installed are 25 ft (H) x 4 ft (D). Same cross beams need to be installed.
  20. Will equipment be needed to demo and install? Yes
  21. What material is being installed and demolished? DLA material is to be taken down and installed.
  22. What are the manufacturer’s guidelines for installation? Uprights and cross beams have been purchased through      Granger and Uline. The uprights were manufactured by Husky Rack and Wire
