Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract to purchase an EchoMRI-700 Whole Body Composition Analyzer from EchoMRI LLC, 14781 Memorial Drive, #222 Houston, TX 77079, for the VA Oklahoma Healthcare System, Research and Development Office. EchoMRI LLC is the OEM and the sole distributer for the EchoMRI-700 system required. This is a combined system with high precision measurements of Fat-Mass, Lean-Mass, Free-Water, and Total-Body-Water in live animals and required for existing and on-going research studies. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 334516 with a 1000 Employee size standard. The PSC is 6515. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
