F--Notice of Intent to Sole Source- Water Hyacinth

The United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations(JAO), intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis justified IAW FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements;
Action is for Treating Hyacinth at Banks Lake Great Meadows NWR. The lake is approximately 800 acres of open water with water hyacinth covering an estimated 50 acres. Fifty percent of the lake's edge is covered by water hyacinth and cypress trees on the lake interior have clumps of water hyacinth and other floating aquatic plants surrounding them. Common Salvinia has been noted in the southwest portion of the lake and needs to be treated along with the water hyacinth. The NAICS code for this procurement action is 561990, All other Support Services.

Any firms believing that they can provide this level of service with appropriate products may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Officer no later than 14 days aft er the date of publication of this notice.
