Description

AMENDMENT Proposals shall be submitted via email to Tashodra Rogers at Tashodra.Rogers@va.gov Section E.2 Addendum to FAR 52.212-1 Instructions To Offerors Commercial Items is amended to: FACTOR 1 Experience; 2: Medical Physicists shall be Board Certified in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics by the ABR or ABMP and maintain licensure with the Board of Licensure for Professional Medical Physicists, if applicable. Medical Physicist(s) shall be board certified by one of the following Approved Certifying Bodies and within the one of the field titles of that Approved Certifying Bodies: The American Board of Radiology (ABR) in any of the following field titles: Therapeutic Medical Physics Therapeutic Radiologic or Therapeutic Radiological Physics Radiologic Physics or Radiological Physics The American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in the subfield of Radiation Oncology Physics. The Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM) in the subfield of Radiation Oncology Physics. RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS Who is the current contractor? This is a new requirement. What is the current hourly bill rate for services of 2 Radiation Physicist on current contract? This is a new requirement. Why is this contract being put out to bid? Physicist services are needed. Is the contract subject to the limitation on subcontracting requirements in 13 CFR 125.6? Please refer to section C.11 VAAR 852.219-74 Limitations on Subcontracting Monitoring and Compliance (JUL 2018) in the solicitation. How will the proposals be submitted? Please submit all proposals via email to Tashodra.Rogers@va.gov also refer to section E.2 Instructions to Offerors. Remove all evidence of qualification requirements by State-Level Licensing bodies such as the Board of Licensure for Professional Medical Physicists. Whereas board certification is required, state licensure and/or registration should not be required for the therapeutic medical physicists being proposed. Please refer to the amendment above.
