Description
The Subcontractor shall furnish all properly qualified management, supervision, personnel, materials, supplies, tools, transportation, and equipment with appropriate accessories (except as provided by FRA) and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of all services described herein. The Subcontractor shall perform operations, maintenance, installation, testing and certification, connection, disconnection, alteration, renovation, renewal, replacement, improvement or upgrade, demolition and/or removal, component fabrication, testing and/or troubleshooting, setting and alignment and installation of material or experimental equipment, system or component commissioning, loading, unloading, preparation for shipping or receiving materials, and other related services of the Rigging trade covered by the Davis Bacon Act. Requested work may include emergency response and related tasks to operate, repair, restore service, and maintain Fermilab facilities or equipment, or other assistance to provide operational capabilities. The Subcontractor shall furnish materials, supplies, tools, and equipment including accessories, fuels, lubricants, filters, bits, blades, bulbs, and other consumables or disposables.
Example of types of General rigging trade service tasks that may be awarded include:
• Removal and installation of beamline components, collimators, and other large physics equipment
• Removal and installation of shielding blocks, steel, and cement
• Utilization of mobile crane (when appropriate)
• General machinery moving and machinery moving of unique equipment.
• Rigging specialty tanks and containers
• Selection appropriate rigging equipment based on weight and dimensions of the scientific equipment.
• Lift and transport the equipment to the designated location.
Time and materials Task Releases shall not exceed $249,999. Based on historical data, FRA may issue approximately fifteen (15) Releases per year with a potential aggregate annual value in the range of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) to Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000). This estimate is provided for planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment on the FRA’s part. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the successful Offeror is not guaranteed any minimum dollar amount per year under this contract.
