Description

This contract action is for the acquisition of service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS), Office of Acquisitions (OA) intends to award a single source purchase order to TubeWriter, LLC, 6500 River Place Blvd, 2 Suite 100, Austin, TX 78730, for the acquisition of a TubeWriter 400-Direct High Speed Alphanumeric Printing System for Labware. 

This instrument is needed for the labeling of samples and consumable labware (plastic and glass) used in the Metabolomics Core Facility. The TubeWriter 400 printing system is designed for high-speed direct printing to labware including alphanumeric labels as well as barcodes. Sample labeling is a critical step in the proper storage, sample preparation, and data acquisition processes for metabolomics analysis in the Metabolomics Core Facility.

Delivery is scheduled 30 Days, ARO.

The applicable North American industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334118 “Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral
Equipment Manufacturing.” Its associated Business Size Standard is 1000 EM.


NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with TubeWriter, LLC and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties must express their interest and must be submitted in writing via email to Valarie K. Sims at valare.sims@nih.gov and are due by 10:00 AM, on May 29, 2023. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by the due date, an award will be made to TubeWriter, LLC.
