Synopsis for Shielded Mild Detonating Cord (SMDC) Test Tips

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) intends to compete a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a limited source basis to Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company, LLC (PacSci EMC) at 2601 Union Road, Hollister, CA 95923-9635 or Universal Propulsion, Company, Inc. dba Collins Aerospace, at 3530 Branscombe Road, P.O. Box KK, Fairfield, CA 94533 for the acquisition of Shielded Mild Detonating Cord (SMDC) Test Tips. The contractor will manufacture the tips according to drawing number 841AS450. Drawing no. 841AS450 is a Distribution Statement C labeled drawing with a list of approved sources of supply. Collins Aerospace and PacSci EMC are the only two companies that are approved sources of supply. The NAICS code is 325920 with a size standard of 750 employees. The FSC is 1090. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only two sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.

All interested sources shall provide the organization name, address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE code. In addition, all interested sources shall provide a summary of their company’s capabilities.
