Description

Greetings!

The Department of Labor (DOL) is excited to share new updates to its Center Operations Solicitation Model.  To tell you all about them, DOL is hosting a Job Corps Industry Day on September 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. This event is free of charge to all participants.

Who Should Attend:  Any entities interested in learning about how DOL procures Job Corps center operations services.  DOL is especially interested in outreach to entities in underserved communities, such as Black, Latino, Indigenous and Native American persons, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other persons of color; members of religious minorities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) persons; persons with disabilities; and persons who live in rural areas.

Benefits of Attending:  Job Corps is a residential training program that serves youth ages 16 to 24. Carrying out the program’s mission requires the procurement of large scale center operations contracts.  Understanding how DOL procures these contracts is essential to doing business in support of the Job Corps program.

Conference Location:  The Job Corps Industry Day will be held virtually on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Pre-registration Requirements:  All vendors are required to pre-register via email to ETAOCM-JC-INDUSTRYDAY@dol.gov

For pre-registration purposes, vendors are required to forward the following information: name, job title, business name and address, telephone number, and email address.  Vendors are also required to indicate their business size status, and are asked to indicate if the company is owned by an individual(s) representing any of the following underserved communities such as Black, Latino, Indigenous and Native American persons, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other persons of color; members of religious minorities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) persons; persons with disabilities; and persons who live in rural areas.

Please register by COB Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

For questions, please send an email to ETAOCM-JC-INDUSTRYDAY@dol.gov
