NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to sole source a contract for the purchase of K5 Wearable Metabolic Technology Parts and Accessories for the following medical center: Buffalo VA Medical Center 3495 Bailey Avenue Buffalo, NY 14215 The objective of this sole source award is for a firm fixed price contract with COSMED USA, Inc. This sole source determination is in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition, procedures and in accordance with 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. COSMED USA, Inc. is the only known authorized supplier and servicing agent for K5 Wearable Metabolic Technology Parts and Accessories. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334510 and the size standard is 750 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Interested vendors that can meet this requirement, should identify their interest and capability, and respond to this notice by 8/24/2022 by 4:00 PM EST. Interested vendors must send a capability statement, no more than one page in length; to include Company Name, UEI Number, Socioeconomic Category, brief description of your business entities capability to provide these items. All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be sent via email to the Contracting Officer. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
