Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District will be issuing a small business set-aside solicitation for Electrical Upgrades at Birch Hill and Tully Lake Dams, located in Royalston, MA. Work at both dams will be awarded under a single contract. The project bid documents are expected to be issued in March 2022. The period of performance will be 180 days. The NAICS code for this work is 238210. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000.00 - $1,00,000.00.

The scope of the project includes the following major components:

  • Demolish existing electrical equipment and wiring in occupied office and outdoor spaces
  • Install new Exterior Generators, Non-Automatic Transfer Switches, and Panelboards
  • Install new exterior improvements including safety fencing, bollards, and equipment pads
  • Run new interior wiring and conduit within occupied office spaces
  • Coordinate with National Grid to replace existing, pole-mounted transformers
  • Remove old mechanical piping associated with existing, interior generators
  • Install new mechanical gate actuators at Tully Lake Dam
  • Construct new underground ductbanks

Please note that this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses. This is not a request for proposals at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents, which will include instructions for submission and the response date, will be available on or about March 2022.
