Page 2 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is searching for contractors with the capabilities to provide a single employee who is available 30 hours a week to assist a Hines VAMC qualified employee with disabilities with day-to-day administrative duties, primarily entering progress notes from both group and individual counseling sessions as a reasonable accommodation located at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital located in Hines, IL. The contracted employee shall assist a Hines VA employee with assigned administrative and technical duties. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561320. All interested, responsible sources must submit a capability statement by Tuesday, December 5, 2023 to jerri.schuster@va.gov to include documentation as proof of the following: A Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university. The contractor employee must be proficient in Job Access With Speech (JAWS) and Pearl Open Book software. All services must be performed by one contracted employee. A minimum of five (5) years experience working with a qualified employee with disabilities as a reasonable accommodation General Requirements also include: The contractor s employee must be proficient in the use of commercial software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The contractor s employee must be computer literate, have general familiarity with a desktop computer and the ability to learn and understand how to enter progress notes into patient records. Must be proficient in written and spoken English. Must pass background/security investigation.
