Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Caribbean District, is hosting an Industry Day for the upcoming solicitation for Rio Puerto Nuevo Flood Control Project, Supplemental Contract 3, San Juan, Puerto Rico. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract shall be awarded from this notice.

An informative presentation will be provided with detailed information for the upcoming solicitation for Rio Puerto Nuevo Flood Control Project, Supplemental Contract 3, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The focus will be on scope of work, design information, construction considerations, acquisition timeline, and contracting requirements.
One-on-one Discussions:
“One-on-one" discussions with USACE personnel will be offered in 30-minute time slots from 10:30am - 12:00pm on a first come-first served basis, but emphasis should be placed on the interest and appropriateness of acquisition approach and procedures for Rio Puerto Nuevo Flood Control Project, Supplemental Contract 3 as opposed to general capabilities. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP for both the event and one-on-one discussions, if interested, at earliest convenience to secure a time slot, but registration will be accepted on site prior to the start of discussions. Attendees are also encouraged to submit questions in advance to allow us to focus on areas of particular interest, but active and open discussion will be encouraged throughout.

1. Identify the Agency. This should be marked as USACE.
2. Email. Enter the email address you would like to use for communication.
3. Key. Enter the Bidder Inquiry Key listed above.
4. Click Continue. A page will then open saying that a user account was not found and will ask you to create one using the provided form.
5. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Company, City, State, Phone, Email, Secret Question, Secret Answer, and Time Zone. Make sure to remember your Secret Question and Answer as they will be used from this point on to access the ProjNet system.
6. Click Add User. Once this is completed you are now registered within ProjNet and are currently logged into the system.

CONTRACT SCOPE
Rio Puerto Nuevo Flood Control Project, Supplemental Contract 3: Channel Bottom and Wall Improvements, San Juan, Puerto Rico
The work for the Rio Puerto Nuevo Supplemental Contract 3 includes the widening and deepening of the existing channel for flood control purposes by constructing two drilled shaft walls and dredging to the required depth. Each wall is approximately 5200 feet long with exposed heights ranging from 24 feet to 31 feet and will be tied together with a cap beam. Construction of the walls will require temporary sheet piling to maintain a minimum flow area for flood events. This contract also includes a tie-in structure at the Josefina Confluence, a transition the existing river upstream, and a transition to an existing project at the downstream outlet. Other work includes sanitary sewer, water, and electrical utility relocations, as well as implementation of new stormwater inlets for drainage across the wall into the channel.

Order of Magnitude (DFAR 236.204): Between $250,000,000 and $500,000,000.
