Description

a. The contractor shall provide a selection of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved safety eyeglass frames and lenses, including both plastic frames and metal frames with adjustable nose pads. Frames must be standard and issued in suitable eye sizes to fit small, medium, and large people. Employees will try on frames and frame will be fit and adjusted for each employee?s needs after the lenses are made. b. The contractor will take all required measurements for multi-vision employees, including pupil distance (PD), and multi-focal height. The contractor should expect to accommodate needs for single, bifocal, and multi-focal vision, as well as progressive (no-line) lenses. c. The contractor will use OSHA approved lenses for safety glasses. Employees will provide the contractor with a current vision prescription. The contractor shall not accept work from any employee without a valid vision prescription. d. When the glasses are ready they will be dispensed at the Pentagon and frames will be fitted to each employee individually. The contractor shall provide these services and supplies within 10 days or less. e. The contractor shall be within close proximity of 60 miles of the Pentagon. f.
