Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk (FLCN), Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA 23511-3392 intends to 
negotiate an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price commercial contract for Educational 
Support Services for Naval District Washington. The procurement will be acquired in accordance with 
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5 - Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items.
 
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 611710 - Educational Support Services. The Government intends award a sole source contract to LivingWorks Education L.P., 440 Summerlea Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28311.

The proposed contract action is to provide Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training - Training for 
Trainers (ASIST T4T) and safeTALK Training for Trainers (safeTALK T4T) courses to certify Navy personnel 
as facilitators as part of the Navy Suicide Prevention Program, Naval District Washington, fleet 
concentration areas, and other areas in the CNIC enterprise.  Maintaining ASIST and safeTALK as the standard Navy training will support the goal of having care providers utilizing a common suicide intervention framework and vocabulary. Suicide intervention, risk assessment skills, and resilience training hinges on the provision of standardized training resources.
