Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source. Acquisition of MZ-5 FS

Synopsis:

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items. The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source supply contract to Intertest, Inc. Cage Code 0C800 in accordance with FAR FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Soliciting from a single source.

The objective of this contract is the acquisition and shipment of Quantity one (1) MZ-5 Field System (MZ-5 FS) Bore Inspection System in support of US Army Testing Center (ATC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

This MZ-5 Field System will support visual examinations of bore IDs during general white light visual inspections and/or during fluorescent inspection processes. 

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333310. Posting date of this requirement is 17 May 2023. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 31 May 2023 NLT 16:59PM EST.

 Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government.

This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis the required supply.
