B&K Microphones and Preamplifiers

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer, Inc. for B&K models 4966 and 4954-B microphones and preamplifiers to supplement the aging and damaged ones already in use at the Compatibility Test Facility (CTF) at NSWCPD. 

The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).  The anticipated contract action will include firm-fixed price contract line items for B&K models 4966 and 4954-B microphones and preamplifiers.  Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer, Inc. is the only responsible supplier/source who can provide the required items and are capable of fulfilling the Navy’s requirements.   

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.  This pre-solicitation notice is for information purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts.  The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept proposals as a result of this synopsis. Interested parties; however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement.  The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis.  Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.  If a competitive solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via SAM.gov and interested parties must comply with that announcement.  The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice.  This is not a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation, and this information is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract.  Responses shall be made in writing by E-mail to the attention of linda.m.dobbs2.civ@us.navy.mil using the contact information provided in this synopsis.
