Description

Questions and Answers: 1. We have a question regarding line items 1016, 1028, and 1030. The description of these line items is service request outside of annual services timeframe. Could you possible elaborate on the circumstances in which you would expect this line item to be used? Would this same line item be used for evaluations of CT and x-ray equipment? Is this line item per equipment item, or per trip? RESPONSE: Based upon the inquiry, Line Items X016, X028, and X030 are now removed, the remaining Line Items are renumbered and attached below. When and if an extra inspection is required the Government will negotiate a fair and reasonable rate. 2. Would it be possible to get some information regarding when the equipment is due for evaluation? RESPONSE: The last MP survey was conducted in October 2021. The lone exception is our gamma camera which was surveyed in December 2021. 3. Would the facilities be willing to allow us to evaluate equipment early in order to get all the equipment on the same schedule? RESPONSE: Yes, the government is amenable to aligning inspection schedules provided the contractor continues to satisfy all regulatory requirements and applicable VHA policies. However, the government will not agree to pay for more than one annual survey per year. An example would be the vendor elects to perform our annual inspections in August vice October. This is acceptable if the annual survey is performed within twelve months or less.
