Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.
The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price award for an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) unit, installation, and configuration for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Marine Safety Unit (MSU) in Valdez, AK 99686, to ZONES, LLC, 1102 15TH ST SW STE 102, AUBURN, WA 98001-6524, UEI: W66WD1J8L177. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. USCG Base Kodiak, will be the procuring entity for this effort. Performance will be located at Valdez, AK 99686. The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses, and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334111.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 27 Jun 2024, at 1:00 p.m., Alaska time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
