Description

In support of its comprehensive market research, the United States Air Force (USAF) is releasing this RFI to assess the ability of the small business market place to perform the receipt, induction, scheduling, installation, quality assurance, functional checks, and return to service of a major Block Upgrade 8.1 modification and the description of work included as an attachment with this RFI. Referenced actions will be accomplished in accordance with specified technical and regulatory requirements.

This request is specifically targeted for small business sources. Consistent with the anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 336411 (Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul in the US) for this acquisition, a "small business" is defined as a business enterprise with less than 1,500 employees.

Notes for consideration:

This information request should not be construed as a decision to pursue a small business set aside. Instead, this information will be compiled, along with prior RFI responses, to inform the Government's acquisition strategy.

Only those companies which qualify as a small business under NAICS 336411 and its corresponding size standard should respond to this RFI.

Should this acquisition be set aside for small business, your company must comply with FAR 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting. Additionally, your company must comply with the Small Business Administration rules regarding affiliation and ostensibility by performing the primary and vital requirements of this contract.

Please provide responses to this RFI by filling out the "CKI 2 Request for Information Form SB" and sending it to the following email address no later than 24 September 2022 (mitchell.frost@us.af.mil). Responses to this Data collected will become the property of the USAF and will be used to provide a snapshot of how businesses who participated are capable of providing Block Upgrade kit installation services.The data collected may be shared with other Services and agencies but will not be shared with any entity outside of the USG.
