Description

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) intends to issue a solicitation for a single award Firm-Fixed Priced contract to furnish MARMC ship repair personnel the training for material specific procedures IAW NSWCCD-65-TR-2012/30 on board U.S. Navy and/or other military type vessels.  The training is for composite patch installations for up to 12 attendees in Norfolk, VA. Training will follow NSWCCD-65-TR-2012/30 composite procedure for 5xxx aluminum alloy affected by stress corrosion cracking procedure and information in PRO-SET Epoxy Technical Data Sheets.  The contract will be for a period of five days. Performance of work will be located at Building LF-18 on Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk VA.

The applicable NAICS code is 611430 (Professional and Management Development Training) with a small business size standard of $15 Million. In addition, this procurement will utilize the policies and procedures of FAR Part 13. " Simplified Acquisition Procedures."

An acceptable Sole Source Justification is approved for this acquisition, therefore it is in the best interest of the Government that this requirement will be procured from the single source capable of performance, Gougeon Brothers, Inc.
