Description

Jefferson Lab (JLab) is seeking sources to provide Electron Beam Welding (EBW) services to fabricate one 9-cell Large Grain Nb cavity and one Fine Grain Nb Cavity in support of the International Linear Collider (ILS). These are Research and Development prototypes and as such, the successful vendor will be required to inform and include Jefferson Lab R&D staff in the EBW work. Jefferson Lab is a nuclear physics research facility operated by Jefferson Science Associates LLC (JSA) under contract to the U.S. Department of Energy and is collaborating with other National Laboratories to support the International Linear Collider (ILS) as noted above. Please see the statement of work (SOW) for details.

We intend to award a firm fixed price subcontract to the offeror that will provide the Best Value to the ILC project for this requirement.  The successful offerors will be selected through a process that will consider price and capability of vendors who respond to this Sources Sought notice in order to determine which vendors will be sufficiently competitive to submit proposals for the above package.

If your company has experience with similar projects and you are interested in competing for award, please register for this requirement on the Jefferson Lab Solicitation Bulletin Board.  To be considered, please submit all information requested on the attached page.  In addition, we encourage all interested vendors to submit comments and/ or questions you may have whether they be business or technical.

Please email the information requested to: jessie@jlab.org no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on August, 28.  If you have any questions, you may contact the undersigned at 757-269-7061, or e-mail jessie@jlab.org.
