Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC- APG), MD 21005 intends to issue a sole source task order for Project Manager Ground Sensors (PM GS). The solicitation will be under NAICS code 334511 - Search, Detection, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The resulting contract is expected to be a hybrid cost-plus fixed-fee and firm-fixed price task order with a 36 month period of performance.

PM GS supports the United States Husky Mounted Detection Systems (HMDS) Program, as a component of the Program Executive Office for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (PEO IEW&S) to procure Husky Mounted Detection Systems, spares, repair parts, test sets (hardware, software, and procedures), program management and engineering changes to support system and assembly diagnostics and performing repairs.

PM GS helps the Army to develop and procure Husky Mounted Detection Systems (HMDS) that saves lives, avoids costs, and returns combat capability to the Warfighting Commanders. The Army Operating Concept calls for “the delivery of warfighter vehicle mounted counter explosive hazard capabilities that pace the threat”. The program is structured to incrementally delivery mounted counter explosive hazard detection and marking capability. 

This notice meets the synopsis posting requirements and will follow Sole Source Procedures under FAR part 6.302 – Circumstances Permitting Other than Full and Open Competition.
