Description

THIS DESIGN BUILD PROJECT IS POSTED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THOSE CONTRACTORS ON THE CURRENT DHS/USCG NATIONAL MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT II (NMACC II).

The project includes the utilities improvement and resiliency to electrical and water storage infrastructure to include distribution systems for the Rio Bayamon Housing Site. The construction activities will be related to the improvements to the storm sewer system right at the entrance where the guardhouse is located as a solution to a localized flooding problem in the area. The project also includes the construction of a new water storage tank and pump station and other improvements to the electrical system as part of the resiliency project on this site.

Construct new 13.5-foot-wide access road connecting from the existing complex’s street to the proposed water distribution tank and pump house site. Provide a new 12-foot- wide access road within fenced area as shown on the drawings. New 6’-6” security cyclone poly coated fence Forest green in color and access double swing gates as shown on drawings. Provide a concrete service slab as shown on the civil drawings for the utilities building. Demolish existing generator concrete pads where generators are removed and patching of roadways and curbs for new electrical distribution and resiliency work.

Construction activities related to storm sewer system include improvements to the existing storm drainage system piping located at the entrance of the complex.  This work includes the following activities:

• Remove and Replace an existing 16-inch pipeline for a 36-inch pipeline from an existing inlet to an existing storm sewer manhole to the proposed invert elevations shown on the proposed drawings.

• The construction of a new set of inlets with top and invert elevations as proposed on drawings.

• New 18” piping connection from the proposed set of inlets to the existing inlet located on the entrance side of the guard house.
