Description

The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain services of Heavy (Type I) Helicopters fully operated meeting the technical requirements and specifications of this solicitation.  These helicopters will be utilized by the Forest Service and other agencies party to various National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) interagency agreements.

The intent of the solicitation is to award Task Orders which will have 120-Day Mandatory Availability Period (MAP) assignments, plus a 30-day Option extension.  The planned requirement is award up to 28 helicopters to be assigned to designated host bases.   

This solicitation will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.  In addition, the competition will be limited to contractors who have a National Call When Needed Basic Ordering Agreement established.

Contractors are advised that per the solicitation requirements, a weighing of proposed helicopter(s) shall have been accomplished within 12 months prior to the closing date of the solicitation.

It is anticipated the actual solicitation will be posted around the last week in Januay of 2022 pending final internal approval.

The solicitation is now posted.  The closing date is set at Feb. 16, 2022 @ 17:00 MST.

On February 3rd, Amendment No. 01 was posted.  In addition, a Revised Helicopter Information sheet was posted.  The closing date remains unchanged.

On February 11th, a GAO protest was filed pertaining to the solicitation evaluation criteria.

On February 15th, Amendment No. 02 was posted.  A new closing date was set at March 2nd.  A revised Master Pricing Spreadsheet was uploaded.

On February 17th, Amendment No. 03 was posted.  The closing date remains unchanged.
