Presolicitation Notice Presolicitation Notice Page 3 of 3 *=Required Field Presolicitation Notice Page 1 of 3 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) End User Operations (EUO) External Beeper/Pager Continuation of Services 36C10B23Q0265 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing pager services for White River Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in White River Junction, Vermont. Please see the attached draft Performance Work Statement for additional details. At this time, VA is contemplating a potential requirement to sustain its existing messaging commercial leased beeper and maintenance services providing one-way and two-way alpha and numeric messaging at the White River Junction VAMC. The anticipated period of performance is 12-months and (4) four 12-month option periods. Optional tasks are anticipated to ensure continued satisfactory use of this legacy technology. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 517112. See specific requirements in the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Do not submit a proposal. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bid, Request for Task Execution Plan, Request for Quotation or a Request for Proposal. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this RFI. Your response to this RFI will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the VA in developing its acquisition strategy. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI. **Update - Acquisition Strategy** As of May 22, 2023 the Acquisition Strategy for this contemplated effort is as follows: Based on Industry feedback to the market research conducted, the VA will proceed with a Sole Source contract.
