Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is HT942523Q0006. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-08 are incorporated. It is the contractor’s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clause may be access in full text at: https://www.acquisition.gov/.

This requirement is being set-aside for small business opportunities. The NAICS code associated with this solicitation is 513510.

STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT

A quote is being requested in response to this solicitation HT9425-23-Q-0006.  The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for services to be performed at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID       ).

Brand Name Requirement for Teklynx Barcode Better software meeting the following minimum essential characteristics:

  1. Shall provide label printing software capable of printing on Brady IP600 printers.
  2. Software shall be able to print on Brady THT-155-490 labels and other label sizes.
  3. Combined 25 Virtual Machine network concurrent licenses.
  4. Software shall be compatible with all CODESOFT software currently installed on USAMRIID servers.
  5. Software shall allow ability to provide custom labels in a form designer.
  6. Software shall allow users to print labels directly from Excel spreadsheets.
  7. Software shall be able to generate 2-D Barcodes.
  8. Software shall have a licensing server to activate client software licensing.
  9. Users shall be able to access software via client computers.
  10. Formulas created with in-software ASCII chart and formula preview.
  11. Print color labels with CMYK color definition.
  12. Annual software upgrades, maintenance (OEM) and support required. Support shall be provided both on line and via phone. Turnaround time to provide support shall be two business days or less.
  13. CodeSoft Upgrade from version 14, combined with user license, 3 year subscription requires email address for delivery.
  14. Software shall connect a label to any UNICODE data including text files, and databases.
  15. Software shall have database and spreadsheet merge capability.
  16. Software shall have Graphic support for over 45 formats, including BMP, EPS, GIF, IMG, JPEG, MAC, PCX, TIFF, WPG, and more
  17. Software shall support over 100 barcode symbologies allowing easy compliance with industry standards.
  18. Software shall have Virtual Machine installation compatibility.
  19. Software shall have offline licensing capability.

Period of Performance: Licenses are set to renew on 8 November 2022.
