Description
This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract for one (1) each NSN: 6685-01-274-6320BA, Indicator Transducer-Portable Strain Gage, P/N 17G123501-1, which includes one First Article which serves as the production asset, one First Article Test Plan, one Marking Plan, and one First Article Test Report. Effort will include three (3) options with a quantity of 3 EA. The C-17 Aircraft Aerial Delivery System (ADS) Rails are located symmetrically about the aircraft centerline. There are ten (10) left and ten (10) right hand ads rail assemblies positioned end-to-end the length of the main cargo floor. Each right hand rail has two (2) variable restraint (VRL) assemblies, which may be set in a “locked”, “armed” or “release” condition. The VRL are electrically-controlled, mechanically-operated mechanisms designed to assist in controlling a palletized load along the cargo floor centerline. A preset force is applied to “lock” the pallets to the rails during airdrop operations, the pallets are pulled free from the VRL by the force from a drogue chute greater than the preset force for proper airdrop procedure. A means to indicate the release force applied by the ADS tester is required and must have a 1% accuracy in the range of 500 to 5000 pounds force. The means is to be used in conjunction with the following items:
VRL Release Force Tester, P/N 17G120001-501
Hydraulic Hand Pump, P/N P-84
Hydraulic Hose Assy, P/N HC-927
VRL Tester Adapter, P/N 17G120005-1
