Description

The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Europe, Africa, Central (EURAFCENT) Naples, Italy is preparing to solicit a firm fixed price, design-bid-build construction contract on a limited competition basis for the renovation of facilities at Keflavik Air Station, Iceland for NAVEUR Operations and Fleet Support Center. All work will be executed in accordance with the Construction Security Plan (CSP) developed specifically for this project.

This work will include a reconfiguration and/or full replacement of existing fire protection, mechanical, electrical and telecommunication systems to meet all operational requirements. Due to the nature of operational requirements within the facility, project will also provide emergency back-up power, electronic security system (ESS), intrusion detection system (IDS), and other special features.

Built-in equipment will include raised flooring, and associated electrical, mechanical and telecommunication system components.

Competition will be limited to American companies only as required by the Agreement between the United States of America and Iceland, Effected by Exchange of Notes at Reykjavik dated October 13 and 17, 2017 with Attachments and Minutes.

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $45 Million.

This solicitation for this requirement is expected to be released in the month of February 2025 with an anticipated award date of June 2025. Plans and specifications will be accessible to offerors with a valid and verifiable United States Facilities Clearance. Offerors must be registered in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) Solicitation Module at https://piee.eb.mil/.
