Description

INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the construction EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Construction project at the VA Central California Healthcare System (VACCHS) located at 2615 E. Clinton Ave., Fresno, CA 93703 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The scope of this project includes but is not limited to the following: Provide general construction work includes demolition and renovation of 3,500sf of interior basement space in the main hospital building of the VA Medical Center to include walls, door, ceilings, flooring, casework, mechanical systems, electrical power & lightning, data, plumbing, fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems. Renovate the existing 3,500 sf of basement space in the main hospital building (BLDG 1) into training and admin support spaces, including a conference room, break room, storage and new enclosure around existing mechanical and plumbing utilities new flooring, ceiling, lightning and room signage to be included in scope of work. Phasing scope to include relocation of office occupancy into a temporary space during construction. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $45 million. The solicitation is estimated to be issued in November 2023. The period of performance is approximately 170 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
