Description
In accordance with FAR 5.201 and 5.207, this synopsis is published for informational purposes only, no response to this posting is required.
The Government requires test, inspection, and repair of the MFoCS Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) manufactured by DRS Network & Imaging Systems (DRS), including Mounted Family of Computer Systems (MFoCS) Block I Processor Units (PUs) and MFoCS Block I Tablets of Force XXI Battle Command, Brigade and Below (FBCB2) / Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P). The proposed contract will support continued sustainment for these DRS manufactured MFoCS LRUs and support the Army Command, Control, Communications - Tactical (C3T) Mission. The Government requires DRS’s LRUs be repaired to serviceable, like new, operational condition so each LRU may be placed into Army inventory to fill the requirements of the user community. FBCB2 / JBC-P MFoCS Block I is a mounted family of computer systems that is responsible for distributing accurate digital Command and Control (C2) and Situational Awareness (SA) at all echelons to the platform and dismounted domains and reducing risk of fratricide. The location data for friendly forces is collected through the Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) line of sight tactical radio network and Blue Force Tracker (BFT) and BFT-2 networks. Subject MFoCS LRUs are designed to be installed as an integral component of a specified FBCB2 / JBC-P computer configuration in specified Army vehicles.
The contract will consist of both Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost Plus Fixed Fees (CPFF) contract line item numbers (CLINs). The contract will consist of a two (2) year period of performance. The effort will utilize North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 811212 – Computer Peripheral Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Government projects an award in June 2022.
Technical Data for manufacture and/or repair service of subject MFoCS products is not available from the Government.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Provng Ground (ACC-APG) intends to issue a sole source award to DRS pursuant to the authority of 10 United States Code 3204(a)(1) as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
All information/response submitted should support the interested party's ability to provide the services required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligtation to the Government.
