Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source                            

The Medical Readiness Contracting Office-West, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source award to Merit Medical under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1 - Only One Source Reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreement, brand name or industrial mobilization) for Department of Perioperative Services, Operating Room Section, Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, TX, for SAVI Scout Console units. The sole source contract will have delivery date of 15 October 2023.

The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 339112 – Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (size standard: 1000).

This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency for future requirements. The solicitation number is W81K00-23-Q-0203 and is generated for the purposes of posting this notice of intent and the final Justification and Approval (J&A) document. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All responses received, to include capability statements, within 5 days of the posting of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the interim purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
