DAF-Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Air Force Sergeants Association

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE – IAW FAR 6.302-1 - Rationale for Utilizing the Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) as a Sole Source for Enlisted Leadership Conference & Senior Enlisted Leader Summit

The Air Force District of Washington Headquarters Air Force Division, on behalf of the United States Air Force intends to award a Sole Source contract to the Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) for the Enlisted Leadership Conference and Senior Enlisted Leader Summit under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The conference will take place between 12- 20 August 2022 in San Antonio, TX and consists of dedicated conference space, dedicated conference staff space, theatre/conference/classroom sets, and audio/visual services. The United States Air Force has leveraged the annual AFSA Development Symposium for their enlisted leadership conferences for over 10 years.

This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received no later than 1600 EST, 29 July 2022. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a full and open competitive procurement or a small business set aside competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information, or quotes, received in response to this announcement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
