Purpose
The purpose of this requirement is to acquire a service contract for the preventive maintenance and repair services for the 7500 FAST Real Time PCR System.
Background
The ABI 7500 FAST PCR is the newest and most used PCR system used within the Division. With highly specialized optics, regular yearly service is required by the manufacturer. In addition, any problems which require replacement parts and installation may be extremely expensive and a service contract will cover many of the costs for replacement parts, installation, and subsequent service. This contract would cover the cost of the on-site repair service, including emergency repair, parts, labor, and travel in addition to preventative maintenance visits per the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
Specific Tasks.
Not less than one (1) on-site planned preventive maintenance visit per year, including all necessary parts and equipment needed to ensure the unit is functioning within manufacturers specifications.
Repair services for the unit to include all necessary parts, labor, and travel costs using OEM parts, with repair completed by trained and certified technicians.
Priority access to technical support and repair services within 3 days from initial contact.
