65 -- Optical Lenses

This solicitation will be re-opened under Amendment 0004 to receive new proposals.  Amendment 0004 will be posted to the DLA Internet Bulletin Board System (DIBBS), http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ on or about March 25, 2010.  Closing dates are established as 3:00 P.M./EST on April 30, 2010 and May 31, 2010.  To locate a solicitation, go to the DIBBS website, from the menu bar select "RFP/IFBs", then conduct a search either through the "Search the RFP/IFB Database" or the "Solicitation Package Search" areas.  The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) is the inventory control point for purchasing optical lenses for the U.S. military around the world.  This is a standing solicitation from which the U.S. Government intends to award multiple contracts to manufacturers and distributors of optical lenses.  Resultant contracts will be Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contracts and will consist of a one year base period and four one year option periods.  The estimated value of the resultant contracts is $6,000,000.00 annually.  This is an aggregate amount for all anticipated contracts awarded pursuant to this solicitation.  Lenses required by the military customers are listed in the solicitation under Schedule of Supplies.  The contractor shall submit a Product Catalog, listing all optical lenses available to the customers ordering under the resultant contracts.  These resulting multiple contracts will be used to support our DoD military customers worldwide, non DoD Federal Government customers, as well as DSCP, acting as the customer.  DSCP is the single order entry point under these contracts.  Customers will be ordering supplies utilizing an internet-based web site.  Please reference the solicitation number in all email correspondence.  POC's for this solicitation are the Acquisition Specialist, Charles Reimer, 215-737-3829, fax 215-737-8139, Email:  Charles.Reimer@dla.mil and the Contracting Officer, Marie Crescenzo (215) 737-7243, fax 215-737-8139, Email:  Marie.Crescenzo@dla.mil.  All responsible sources may submit a proposal and shall be considered by the Agency.
